Early settlement of Lemoyne began in 1724 when John Kelso and his ferrying partner and putative relative John Harris built a stone house at the east end of the future borough.
The National Register of Historic Places was organized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.

The current day Borough of Lemoyne is in eastern Cumberland County, Pennsylvania on the western shore of the broad Susquehanna River, across from the state capitol at Harrisburg. Lemoyne’s central location in the Susquehanna River Valley makes it an enticing place to live now.
Riley John Katshir of Camp Hill, a soccer player at Lebanon Valley College (Class of 2019) represents the 4th generation of family ownership of the West Shore Farmers Market in Lemoyne, which was opened by his maternal great-grandfather in the mid-20th century.

Zuna discusses her early childhood growing up during World War II including collecting tin cans, babysitting for working mothers, and war activities with the Girl Scouts. Zuna also talks about her older siblings experiences in the war including a brother who served in the military a sister who worked at the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg.
