Company G 44 Regiment

Samuel Kelley served with Company G of the 44^th U.S.C.T. He was born around 1844 in Cherokee, Alabama, and was working as a farmer before he joined the military. He enlisted as a private in Rome, Georgia, at twenty years old, on July 30, 1864, and he was mustered out on August 6, 1864.
