John George Peck
John George Peck served in the 25th United States Colored Troops with Company I. He was born around 1836 in Rockingham County, Virginia.1 Before he enlisted into the 25th U.S. Colored Troops, he did labor work in Frederick County, Virginia.2 He had the following physical characteristics: black hair, black eyes, a dark colored complexion, and height of about five foot, ten.3 Before his enlistment, he was believed to be a free man.
